Design exploration creating a visually powerful site that would convey the impact that the Blue Note label had on the world of Jazz and pop culture in the mid-20th Century. Taking its cue from award winning designer Reid Miles, the site uses period fonts like Trade Gothic, Clarendon, Caslon 540, Beton and Galactic to help convey the unique typographic approach from the album covers.
Streaming additional tracks from the archives, biographies of important figures, as well as presenting a visual time line of Blue Note releases from 1939 to present, lets the beginner dip their toes on the water and get an introduction to the world of Blue Note jazz!
