When the wildfires rages through Santa Rosa and the Napa Valley in October 2017, one of their first victims was the much loved URJ Camp Newman, a Jewish camp that offered year round programming. Thousands and thousands of Newman alumni were devastated, and even before the fires were out, the camp staff began planning the campaign to raise awareness (and the capital) to rebuild.
The #NewmanStrong logo was designed to give that campaign a visual identity that could focus that love and crystalize the movement to move forward and to, literally, rise from the ashes.
Designed to work in black and white or multiple colors, the #NewmanStrong logo on the initial camp video has been viewed over 300K times, is on mailers, T-shirts and will be used for a long time to come.
